The Jets team, who are now enjoying a three-game winning streak, have hope after Aaron Rodgers’ quick return from a damaged Achilles tendon.

Jets Thomas Morstead On QB Aaron Rodgers: “His Recovery Is Hope For The Team”

Jets punter Thomas Morstead said during his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Monday that his colleagues are seeing a fairy tale conclusion due to Aaron Rodgers’ incredible development.

“It is a hope thing,” Morstead told McAfee. “All of a sudden, he is doing something new and you are like, ‘wow,’ this sort of unrealistic prediction that he is coming back this season, there is a hope there and I just think guys love seeing it.”

Four snaps into his Jets tenure in Week 1, Gang Green—a surprise offseason acquisition—went down with a devastating Achilles injury, and it was thought that the injury would terminate the season. Nevertheless, Rodgers has appeared to be recovering far more quickly than expected, which has sparked rumors that he may improbably make a comeback around the end of the regular season or during the postseason if New York makes it.

Zach Wilson, a much-maligned third-year player, took over at center when the four-time MVP was injured.

“It’s inspiring to see him out there. We have to keep hanging in there and keep finding ways to win,” added Morstead. “You can already see the story, how this thing could end, it’s too good of a story, you can already see the ending. It’s just exciting to see him out there every week. It just gives the guys a lot of hope of what could be.”

In its last three games, New York has defeated the Giants, Denver, and Philadelphia. The Jets’ chances of making the playoffs have been revived as a consequence of their improved record at 4-3.
